MAA Student Chapter



Xavier's Math Club is a student organization whose primary goal is to promote the interest of mathematics at XU. Anyone can join the club, even if you are not a math major or minor. Our only requirement is that you are willing to have fun!

Our Current Plans:
  • Watch here for plans for our first event our annual Freshman Meet and Greet.
  • Sometime in September we will be going to see the theatrical release of Proof.

    Some of Our Past Activities:
  • April 6th - April 8th: Math Awareness Week at Xavier(MAWX)
  • Pizza Lunches to get to know other club members and to relieve stress during finals week
  • Pi Day Festivities on March 14th, including Pi Day trivia, a digit memorization contest, and slices of pie
  • Game Nights, including the ever-popular game SET
  • Knot coloring with homemade pretzels
  • Proof: A Tony Award-Winning Play that was performed at Playhouse in the Park
  • Math Movie Nights, such as A Beautiful Mind

  • Information Sessions on Summer Research Experiences
