Another view.  In all things there are leaders and followers.  Marriage is no different.  If both party's fight to hold the power neither will win.  The seat of power will only hold one and if you both try to sit on it your always going to battle.  It is your place as head of house to see that your home is cared for and run well.  That is not to say you will not ask her advice on things, but in the end it's your call (or hers if she has taken it from you) to make the final call. Good, bad, right or wrong it will be done and how ever it turns out will be dealt with.
