pretty straightforward bolt on. the only couple trix are soak the bolts with penatrating oil before hand.
if you want to get the old ones off in one peice, using the centerstand, take off the rear wheel, as the crosspipe kinda gets in the way. the crosspipe tends to get rusty, so don't count on it being easy to open to seperate the right and left halfs.
I don't replace the exhaust gaskets, I use copper rtv. but let it dry 24 hr before riding, I use it on all exhaust connections.
try to get a 3-1 that allows access to the oil filter, (else u got to take the whole mess down to change the oil), and retains center stand(if u want it.. jean's site should have nice write -ups on the different kinds. the creme de la cream being the satanless systems from down under, or the rare and elusive extenct kirker.
mac is hard to tune, better off with mac headers, and another muffler, like a h-d dumpster rescue.
and lastly, you will probably need to bend up the mounting bracket they giv you. if you can use the stock bracket with the rubbers in conjunction it will cut down on vibration.

Subject: [ytriples-l] 3-1 pipe(s)
Is there a place on the forum that has instructions to replace the exhaust
on my bike with 3-1 pipes? Being as it has dropped to below freezing, riding
Money Pit to work isn't going to happen soon.
Oh, and I got Money Pit II. A 1986 Toyota pickup. Doesn't has much work as
Money Pit I, and it has a HEATER! No, not one I have to hug when riding in
sub-zero temps.
